Because Christianity has become a widespread religion and popular, does it simply become a religion that is observed only when one is in a particular church? Or is Christianity a way of life to you? Or has Christianity simply been taken for granted?

It is easier to identify someone as a Christian during church worship. But after church service outside of the church, can you identify that person as a christian? It is funny sometimes when inside the church, a person greets others with "Peace be with you", but after church service they become mortal enemies and/or talk dirty things against each other especially when both people are rivals involved in a heated political election campaign!

It is easier to identify a Muslim because they live a Muslim way of life. You can see it in the way they socialize, their behavior, their attire, their food, and basically their way of living. The Islamic religion is basically imbibed in their cultural practices.

But how about Christians, can you see Christianity life in them? Do they practice what the Bible teaches? Do they observe the ten commandments? Do they truly believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God? Do they behave as Christians? Do they love God with all their hearts? Do they follow the teachings of Jesus Christ? Do they love their neighbors? Do they practice what they preach?

Or do you see christians as having double characters - good when inside the church but living a non-Christian life when outside the church. Or do they think of the ten commandments as merely a theoritical law only, but not worthy to be observed? Or do they believe in Jesus simply as a human teacher but not a God? Or do they prioritize materialism more than God? Or perhaps they no longer need to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ because they believe they are already "saved"!

Maybe, I myself could be guilty in one or two aspects of these. But as Christians, we need to live a Christian life - observing what Jesus has commanded us to do. In the Holy Bible, Jesus said, "If ye love me, keep my commandments." He didn't say that just because He died on the cross we are free not to keep the commandments of God. But again He said, "If ye love me, keep my commandments."

It doesn't mean that because Jesus died for you and me on the cross - that we are now free to kill the person we hate. But instead, Jesus said, "love one another as I have loved you". If Jesus himself was baptized, why can't we be baptized also? If Jesus himself had made it a practice to go to a synagogue (Church) to worship on the Sabbath, why can't we also go to church to worship on the Sabbath? If Jesus himself prayed to God the father, why can't we kneel in prayer also? If Jesus commanded the early Christians to go and preach the gospel, why can't we preach also?

Yes, to me Christianity should not be taken simply as a religion. Christianity should be a way of life for all Christians. Its principles and teachings should be practiced in the way we talk, the food we eat, our behaviors, our social life, our jobs, in business, and even in our lifestyle.
